[BCM] Slay

It wasn’t exactly easy to slay a demon.
It became easier if you had the right tools, but those tools were few and hard to come by. Before Ruby, apparently, there was only one way to do so—and that was with the flaming sword of a pure bred. Somehow Ruby managed to manipulate the magic to her own devices, but regardless of that fact, those swords weren’t exactly given out as party favors. The only way you could get one, let alone use one, was if you had fought in the great war at the beginning of time—and there was no way that a demon was going to let you just borrow his sword. He—or she, as the case may be—would kill you before you even got the chance to ask the words.
Now that Ruby was around, making her weapons, however, Alloces couldn’t be all that sure of their number, or just how effective they were against every type of demon. There was only one person who could really answer that question for him, and apparently he was the target of his latest mission. Not that he can really be faulted for that, he was just following orders. However, when one of his own is supposedly killed at the end of it, and he doesn’t have the information he needs to figure out how to keep that from happening again, he needs to break some rules.
And he needs to do it without the council knowing it.
